An Outdoor Tamil Wedding In Bangalore With A Theme For Every Event!

Shruti & Kartik's wedding was a beautiful celebration of their true love. Both of them are poles apart but their love brings them together which resulted in a 6 year long relationship and a beautiful wedding spanning across multiple events. Of course, Vivek Krishnan Photography caught all of their craziness and romance on camera and we can't stop smiling while looking at these adorable photos of the super cute couple! Check 'em out.

"Kartik and I met for the first time at a Diwali get-together for students in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, in 2015. He was the photographer for the event, and I was part of the organizing committee. He was quite shy and reserved, and I was the total opposite, bubbly and social. I went up to him at the event to introduce myself and that's how we got to talking. It wasn't until early 2016 that we really began texting each other regularly, followed by a first date, a second one, a third one... And here we are, 6 years later, happily married!" -shares Shruti

Our wedding was between 11th-13th December 2021. It was originally scheduled for 6th-8th November 2020, but it was pushed due to Covid-19. Our wedding was the perfect blend of having fun and honoring our traditions. We had four events: the mehendi, var pooja, sangeet, and muhuratham (the actual wedding)! The mehendi and sangeet were events to unwind and let loose in the evenings- filled with music, dancing, good food, and no set program. We had a Morocco/Arabian themed Mehendi, and a Great Gatsby inspired Sangeet. The Var Pooja and Muhuratham were more traditional in nature, and we made sure that the vibes matched the sobriety of the events. The Var Pooja was pastel-themed, and the Muhuratham was Regal themed. We ensured that all the elements, from the decor to outfits to invitations to food matched the themes/vibes for each event.

As I was our own wedding planner, and both of us live in the Netherlands, the entire wedding was a huge challenge to plan and pull off! I'd have struggled so much if it weren't for the WMG app! Venue: Miraya Greens, Bangalore

After visiting tens of wedding venues all across Bangalore, many of which are much more famous amongst locals, we decided to stop by Miraya as a last-minute decision as it was on the way. And just like that, by chance, we came across our dream wedding venue! Miraya is an expansive space with multiple event areas - each one more unique and beautiful than the other. The property is lush, green, and immaculately clean and well-maintained at all times! The real jewel of the venue, however, is the staff. The staff at Miraya have unparalleled warmth... No matter when you visit, they're ready to welcome you with refreshments and a smile. They genuinely care about you, your family, and your wedding. At our wedding, when the caterers forgot to get canopies for the food counters, Miraya arranged them without having to ask. When it started raining on the wedding day, they had a table prepared with umbrellas that they distributed to all our guests. They're always around to check-in on you and make sure everything goes smoothly, from the wee hours of the morning till the last minute of your last event for the day. Miraya also has a beautiful accomodation block with incredibly clean and well-equipped rooms, and an inner courtyard that is just surreal in the mornings and evenings! Getting married at Miraya was a dream, and definitely our best decision.

After looking through many artists' portfolios on the WMG app, I narrowed down on Lakshmi as I felt she has nailed the quintessential South Indian bride look. And boy, was I right! I love all things make-up and had so many ideas for my big day(s), but in all the wedding madness, I totally forgot to shortlist make-up looks and hairstyle ideas. I gave Lakshmi a free hand, and she created magic on me every single day!

We had prior experience with the VKP team during our engagement, and their work was so good that it was without a doubt them that we were choosing for our wedding! Anyone who works with them will understand why. They're punctual, extremely hard-working, blend in with the crowd, and capture the most beautiful moments! They are full of ideas for pictures and videos, and make you feel at ease and comfortable throughout the process.

She did a fabulous job with the mehendi and sangeet décor, transforming the spaces into a different world each time! All our guests remained in awe of the décor for all the events and everything was executed smoothly throughout the weekend, despite the unexpected and unpredictable weather conditions!
