It's heartening to see how these days weddings are not just a tick for couples but they go all out to make the day THEIRS. With personalisation and customisation that elevates their experience and the guests', here is another wedding that ticked all the right boxes. Rowena and Siddharth's Bangalore wedding had so many meaningful additions that we just had to feature it. From their grandfather solemnising the wedding to core memories being added to the decor, this is a wedding worth checking out! Kudos to Petals Event for bringing the couple's vision to reality.
Meet Rowena and Sidharth
Siddarth and I met in college, we were in different departments but in the same college bus. We never spoke then, but only knew of each other. He messaged me on Facebook after a few years and he sat under spam for a long time until I decided to reply back. We started messaging each other, which turned into catch ups and getting to know his friends and him getting to know my friends. We were the best of friends for many years until that naturally evolved into a romantic relationship. Our love for each other grew when we moved continents to pursue our dreams together, and smashed out some of our goals before we got married.

From The Bride:
Our wedding took place on September 1, 2023. Siddarth and I wanted to give a lot of importance to emotions and core memories that not just the two of us would be carrying away from the wedding, but our guests as well. While our focus was on emphasising our cultural beliefs and strongly depicting that in each of our events, we made sure to have certain aspects that elevated all the events. Our first event was the rehearsal dinner, where Siddarth and I wrote personal letters to each guest sitting there who were our close family and friends. It was an intimate dinner setting and we had the decor depict the same. Our dinner table had a floral runner with candles and same of our favourite florals suspended from the ceiling along with some live fishes. The meaning behind having fishes at our rehearsal dinner is to indicate good luck and prosperity. When it came to our Christian ceremony, we wanted the ambience to be calming, pure and enchanting with the greenery naturally brought in with the venue Villa Kasu. Our decor and florals were completely white, as both Siddarth and I exchanged our personalised vows in a very tranquil environment. The wedding was solemnised by my grandfather and I had one of my best friends read my favourite verse from the bible, which truly added a lot of meaning to the beginning of our forever. Our reception that same night, was the complete opposite of our intimate ceremony. We wanted the reception to scream out loud with the sparkle and vibrant colours, as Siddarth and I threw a big party to our favourite people. We didn’t have a stage where both of us stood to receive the blessings from our guests, but we went around to everyone’s tables to receive them instead. We had a dance floor for the night, however the entire venue became our dance floor thanks to the great music played by our DJ. The next day, we had our haldi brunch, which was inspired by an amalgamation of Moroccan and Italian summers. Our decor had elements of lemons which symbolise longevity, love and happiness. We wanted this day to be a recovery from the big night, and had the best menu from our caterer to help us with the recovery, along with some dance performances and karaoke. We also had a traditional tamil event that night where the groom is welcomed into the venue from the brides side. We wanted this event to be traditionally South Indian with many aspects of the venue being our central decor element, which include the antique furniture, chettinad pillars, and temple lamps. The next morning we had our Hindu muhurtam, which was made to come live with our decor that included animals and birds as the key elements of decor. Our muhurtam was done in a very South Indian traditional setting with the sunlight streaming through the roof admidst the tuberoses and parrots made from lotus petals. We tied the knot along side cows depicted in our decor as a sign of humility, peace and simplicity while also symbolising the nature of always giving without expecting anything.
Our entire wedding weekend was truly a dream come true and have made some long lasting memories.

The team at Petals delivered exactly what Siddarth and I envisioned for our wedding. We wanted something that was creative and brought a lot of meaning to both of us, and Nitesh’s team executed just exactly the same, if not more.

The team at Shutterbug went above and beyond to make sure we had the best memories captured during the wedding. The team was always present and always on the run. They were the real superstars at our wedding, and there’s just not enough words to describe how hard working they are!
Venue: Villa Kasu
It was truly the best place we could have ever thought of getting married in. It felt like we were at home and added so much meaning to our special day. The greenery around the venue and unique architecture had all our guests be in awe, especially because such a venue being present within the city limits of Bangalore.
Makeup Artist: Shruthi Julta
I am so glad to have made a good friend like Shruthi Julta, who helped me get ready for all my events. Her focus was on showing off my skin for how it naturally is, while adding some elements of colour to make my makeup pop. I loved how I looked on all the days because I looked and felt like myself which is the most important.
