Months after the official separation of Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Ruth Prabhu was announced, the air was pregnant with rumours of alleged romatic relationship between Sobhita and Naga Chaitanya.

In time, the internet sleuths put together from their individual selfies from a vacation that the couple were away, but together.

They continued to be spotted together at promo events and other big life events but the press did not obtain any official confirmations from either of the parties.

Now Engaged

After a period of intense speculation, the couple finally confirmed their relationship on August 8, 2024. Nagarjuna tweeted his heartfelt blessings to the pair, extending a warm welcome to Sobhita as she joined the Akkineni family. The momentous occasion was marked by an intimate ring exchange between Sobhita and Naga Chaitanya at his Hyderabad home.

On October 21st Sobitha had the pre wedding event godhuma rayi pasupu danchadam ceremony in her hometown, Visakhapatnam, to kickstart the wedding festivities. The entire family and a priest made the intimate event posse.

Initially, Sobhita and Chay were planning on a destination wedding, but the couple changed their plans and decided to have a low-key wedding instead, honouring their familial heritages. For this reason, they are getting married at Annapoorna Studios, founded by Naga Chaitanya's late grandfather and an iconic actor Akkineni Nageswara Rao (ANR).

The sharing of their wedding invite went viral for its inclusion of traditional Telugu motifs even as Naga's father and the superstar Nagarjuna Akkineni shared that it makes him so happy to see the soon-to-be-wed couple together and that he cannot wait for Sobitha to join the Akkineni family formally.
