Kerala Wedding With A Love Story That Has Too Many Coincidences!

An intimate but tasteful affair!
Somewhere in the corridors of a Mumbai school, Aditya and Swati's, who share birth dates, a love story was already being written. But it would take the offshores of the US and series of connecting dates to solder the bond into a lifetime partnership. With a focus on intimate candids, having the near and dear ones in proximity and going all out on the fun quotient, their two day wedding duration was one for the books. With tight timelines for outfit shopping, the bride was a superstar to mix perfectly the legacy brands, local Mumbai shops and modern labels. Phew, we stan a smart queen! WedArtistry captures completely followed the couple's candid first approach and the results are everything delightful!
Meet Swati and Aditya
"Our paths would have definitely crossed at some point when we attended the same school growing up in Andheri, Mumbai. But since we both don't remember it one bit - let's say we reconnected over Facebook when he messaged me on his birthday (which is also my birthday; how awesome is that?)
At that point, we were both working in the San Francisco Bay Area. Since I had been here a couple of years and he had just arrived, I thought I'd show him around. Little did we know that first ramen dinner + standup would eventually turn into many more fun dates!
Cut to 2023, and it's hard to believe that we've been through a pandemic and a long distance relationship together. It's been an amazing journey so far, and WedMeGood really helped in streamlining the wedding planning process for us!"

From The Bride
Our wedding took place on Dec 13 and Dec 14, 2023. I'm Tamil and Aditya is Malayali, but both our ancestral roots are in Palakkad, Kerala. Since Kerala is a beautiful destination and Aditya's family has many relatives and homes there, we decided to use our home field advantage and get hitched in Thrissur!
I always knew I wanted an intimate, simple wedding with classic, elegant decorations that reflected our rich heritage but wasn't over the top. At the same time, I definitely wanted to do all the fun things like a fun poolside Haldi, Sundowner roast/toasts dinner and, of course, a glam Bollywood Sangeet night! We had 80-100 of the people closest to us at the 2 day wedding, and they made it magical!
My favorite event was the low-key Sundowner event which was a relaxed dinner with singing by talented family members. Everyone shared their favorite stories about us ( and also roasted us! ). Our Haldi was a colorful, fun-filled event. We entered dancing while our friends held colorful smoke guns! We danced, played fun childhood games ( lemon and spoon race and tug of war, anyone? ) and of course slathered haldi on each other and had an impromptu pool party!
The actual wedding and muhurtham was traditional and colorful! We wanted an intimate, traditional Tamil wedding. I love resplendent and colorful kanjeevaram sarees and changed into 3 beautiful pieces at the muhurtham. We did all the traditional ceremonies - Kashi yatra, Oonjal .. you name it. To do all of that surrounded by our closest family and friends in their colorful sarees and mundus ( all of Aditya's friends decided to coordinate in matching mundus ) was divine.

They are a fantastic hidden gem in Thrissur, Kerala. The resort is filled with nature friendly activities like trails and biking. Our guests enjoyed the cottages and the serene lush green views of the tropical Kerala forests. The staff was also very warm and welcoming and took care of all our guests' needs. Shout out to Pratyush who is a very hands on coordinator!

Reshmi and Sija make a great team. They listened to my requirements for every look and tailored their makeup looks accordingly. I was very pleased with how all my looks turned out! Their saree draping artist is also super professional and did an amazing job with all of my sarees and their different draping styles.
Decor & Wedding Planner : Ayga Events
Aljo and his team were my wedding planners and they did a great job! We discussed our vision for every event over 4 months. There were some initial communication issues in translating our needs, but once the production and work started, Aljo and his team delivered really well!
We were super impressed by the beautiful decor and all our guests enjoyed it as well. They really understood our theme of intimate and less is more and really let the florals and tiny details shine! Special shout out to Ayappan for always being available to respond to all our last second needs!

We expressly requested for more candid photos and videos and very few posed photos. Their team managed to capture wonderful candid moments! They were also super easy and fun to work. We loved how our reels and teasers turned out as well. Thank you, Sibin and team!
Wedding Invite : Letsannounce
Since we had guests from all over the globe, we wanted to use customized e-vites. Sourabh and Kirti from WedMeGood are a great team that listened to all our needs and created a cute video e-vite that shared our story with all our guests! We also used their caricatures on our actual wedding signboards!
