Pavitra and Kiran's long distance relationship during the pandemic times fruitioned into a budgeted and celebratory wedding last year. The many advetures and travels together solidified their bond as they got to know each other only how couples who travel to detinations get to know each other.

"It was very random. We met through a mutual friend just before COVID started and started dating during first lockdown! We were in a long distance relationship for almost 6 months when i went back to my hometown. Both of us are travel and adventure freaks. It started with one small trek near Bangalore, till now we have travelled so many places together which really helped us to understand each other better", the bride tells us.

From The Bride

Our wedding took place on June 8, 2023. Ours is an inter caste marriage. I’m a Brahmin girl, and he is a Shetty. So after convincing our parents for almost a year, we planned our wedding in less than 30 days. It was a simple 1 day wedding. But later we did add a few last minute events, but nothing extraordinary.

About my style, I always knew what I wanted to wear on my big day and also for my partner :P Subtle gold and silver outfit with very minimalistic makeup. And for reception, I wanted Anushree reddy, but didn’t want the regular red and pink lehengas. So I went with their new collection pastel lehhenga which had butterflies and pearls.

DIY Ideas

The whole wedding was planned and executed by just me and my partner (financially too). So, for my reception outfit, we drove over night to Hyderabad and finalised my lehenga within 40 mins and came back the same day. No other store, no 2-3 days long shopping!!
