Wholesome Hyderabad Wedding With The Most Interesting Love Story!

They matched via Tinder, but found something in common which just can't be a coincidence, which makes this union so much more special! Meet Megha and Aakash

Aakash and I met on Tinder in February 2018 in Mississauga, Ontario in Canada and at the time, I was fed up with the app and almost ready to delete it. We messaged back and forth for almost a week or so and decided to go on our first date on February 16th, 2018. He picked me up after work and we went to a Hakka Chinese restaurant in Mississauga. Our first few dates were almost 6-7 hours long and we wanted to spend every moment with eachother - very early on, he told me that he didn’t want to date other people and that he was ready to be exclusive! 2 weeks into our relationship, we realised we needed to stop going out as much and we needed to find more budget friendly ways to spend time so we went over to his house where he was renting the basement from his parents. A few hours into our hangout, his mom insisted we have dinner with them upstairs so we said ok - I was quite nervous to meet his parents just 2 weeks in! His mom asked us lots of questions but some of her questions towards me were a bit odd - she was asking about my parents, what they did for work and where I had lived in my life. When I mentioned the places, his mom perked up and asked me things like, “did you live in Russia during ___ time?, Did your mom teach singing to little kids?, did you have an older brother?” To which I answered yes to all 3! Immediately she made the connection that Aakash’s family and mine had been friends since I was less than a year old when we all lived in a small apartment building in Russia! I even have 1st birthday photos with Aakash in them and it is just crazy to think of all the pieces that had to fit together for me and Aakash to find each other again! The fact that we matched on Tinder, both of us had to swipe right, had to actually get along, his mom putting it all together, and for us to be compatible as well - it is truly fate that I found Aakash again!!

Our wedding took place on March 11, 2023. Our wedding was a mix of traditional south Indian and glamour. The main thing we prioritized was joy! There are barely any photos where Aakash and I could keep our smiles hidden and I wouldn’t have preferred it any other way! I wore sneakers that I had personally bejeweled for my Sangeet.
